On September 17th and 24th, State Bank of The Lakes held their fall shredding and electronic recycling event at all 5 bank locations. Customers and neighbors had the opportunity to have their personal documents shredded as well as electronic items recycled.
Both days of the event were both largely successful, generating crowds of over 150 participants on each day. The first day took place at the Antioch and Lindenhurst branches, and between both locations, over 5770 pounds of paper was shredded. In addition, 15 skids of electronic recycled items were hauled away totaling over 4950 pounds.
The second event, held at the Lake Villa, Spring Grove, and Grayslake branches was another great turnout shredding nearly 10,000 pounds of paper and recycling 16 skids of electronic items weighing approximately 5400 pounds.
