Important Notice

As a valued customer of State Bank of the Lakes, we would like to share some important changes/clarifications regarding our funds availability practice.

Processing Change

Beginning with Saturday August 6, 2011, State Bank of the Lakes will no longer consider Saturday as a "business day".  We will be changing from processing deposits six days per week (Monday-Saturday) to a more generally accepted practice of processing deposits five days per week (Monday-Friday).  This will mean that deposits made on a Saturday will show in your balances on Tuesday rather than Monday.  If you have any questions please feel free to call one of our Personal Bankers at 847-395-2700.

Funds Availability

Our Funds Availability Policy will remain "next day availability".  Same day availability will be provided for cash deposits and funds received by electronic direct deposit.

Next day availability is provided for all other deposited funds.  Next day refers to next "business day" which means any day other than Saturday, Sunday or a federally declared legal holiday.

Please see a Personal Banker for questions regarding the Funds Availability Policy.

Travel Plans?

To prevent interruption to your debit card when traveling out of state please contact your Personal Banker during regular business hours at (847) 395-2700 to let them know your travel plans.  Certain states are experiencing high volumes of debit card fraud and may be subject to authorization blocks.  If your card is lost or stolen please call our 24 hour hotline, 1-800-236-2442.

An important public service reminder for our customers:

The bank has received recent reports of possible phishing activity taking place.  We would like to take the opportunity to provide an important service reminder to all our customers to be mindful of the security of your personal information.

Specifically, please be aware that the bank will NEVER ask for sensitive information via e-mail, text or web.  Please do not give information out to someone over the phone or via email.

If you have any doubts or are unsure about any type of communication you have received from us, please call us or come into the bank.  For more information on phishing and other types of fraud, please visit our Online Security Center here.
