Important Announcement

As you may have seen in the news, there was a possible card data breach at various grocers, including Jewel-Osco in our market area, possibly starting as early as June 22nd and ending as late as July 17th.

At this point, it has not been determined if any cardholder data was in fact compromised. While we do not yet know the extent of the data breach, we are monitoring this situation closely, and will alert you as pertinent new information arises.

In this case, we believe the best defense is a good offense. So, as a precaution, if you have shopped at Jewel-Osco or one of the other stores mentioned in the news reports during the dates mentioned above, we ask that you monitor your account and transactions carefully over the next few weeks. Should you notice any unusual activity, please call the bank immediately. We also suggest that you enable text alerts so that you receive immediate notice each time your debit card is used. It’s as easy as calling your branch to activate. We believe these alerts can help you notice fraud early and prevent unauthorized use of your card. If you would prefer to preemptively receive a new debit card, feel free to stop into or call the bank and speak with a personal banker.

Microsoft Releases Security Patch for IE Vulnerability

Microsoft has released a critical security update for a recently identified vulnerability in its Internet Explorer web browsers.  Windows computers with automatic updates enabled will install the new update without further action.  If your computer does not have automatic updates enabled, you can obtain the patch from the Microsoft website by searching on Microsoft Security Bulletin MS14-021.

If your computer is running Windows XP, Microsoft has issued an update for this issue for Windows XP.  Note that Windows XP is no longer supported by Microsoft, and to ensure continued security your PC should be upgraded to a supported version of Windows.
